Description of Work

Precision Concrete Construction performed exterior concrete flatwork and site concrete for the Newark Liberty International Airport terminal facility at Terminal C. The scope involved the placement and finishing of reinforced concrete sidewalks, pedestrian walkways, and terminal apron areas along the building’s ground-level frontage.

Concrete was placed over epoxy-coated welded wire reinforcement and rebar, with hand-finishing by experienced union crews to achieve the smooth, durable surfaces required for the high-traffic airport environment. Work was performed adjacent to the terminal’s glass curtain wall and storefront system, requiring careful protection of finished architectural elements during concrete placement.

The project demanded strict coordination with Port Authority security protocols, airfield operations, and ongoing terminal activity. All work met the heavy-duty performance specifications required for airport pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
